Conversational Portuguese Small Group
Students will take pleasure in conversing with an experienced, native Portuguese speaker while practicing Portuguese in this continuous program. The best candidates for this class are beginning Portuguese speakers at levels A1–B2 of the CEFR.

About the Teacher
Greetings and welcome to my classroom, friends! I have been a teacher for more than 15 years, working in a variety of academic fields. I think education ought to be enjoyable. I take pleasure in instructing students in reading, writing, and English. Since my kids are active, I also like teaching activities that keep us moving! I'll be teaching phonics/reading, writing, science, history & geography, Portuguese Language, and art. I will be providing tutoring in reading, writing, arithmetic, research projects, and Portuguese language as part of my one-on-one class offerings.
I hold a teaching license from the state of New York and a master's degree from the University of Lisbon. I tutored kids in a variety of areas for numerous years, and I spent several years teaching high school level history classes to students ages 15 to 18.
I like coaching as well as teaching a range of disciplines to students of all ages. I've been an online ESL teacher for more than two years, and I like the virtual environment. Right now, I also homeschool our two kids.
I like spending time with my family and watching my children's faces light up with delight when they discover something new. Together, we like to read, hike, and go on new experiences. I hope you'll come along on our next exciting voyage!
About the Course
Greetings, parents and students!
Come practice your Portuguese conversational skills with me in this continuing workshop. I have taught more than 2000 courses to second language learners and am a certified native Portuguese speaker. Up to four people in each lesson creates a cozy environment and lots of "talk time" for each learner. All students are welcome, however the majority of them fulfill the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) levels A1–B2.
As we acquire new vocabulary terms, practice speaking and listening, and ask questions, students will become more self-assured and fluent. When repeating after the teacher, students will have time to speak both individually and collectively.
Prior to class, conversation topics are selected.
