Valentina Tibau

As a full-time professional artist and art instructor, I am passionate about sharing my unique insights with young art buddies to help them explore their own creative paths. I have extensive expertise in illustration, anime, chibi, surrealism, paleoart, and mindful art. My areas of expertise include Cultivating Creativity/Resourcefulness, Thinking Like an Artist, and Divergent Thinking, sometimes known as "thinking outside the box". According to current research, the creative act of producing art improves problem-solving, critical thinking abilities, attention, and much more. According to studies, persons who engage in any form of art, including sketching, are less worried, nervous, and sad. Researchers compare producing art to brain exercise; much as physical exercise benefits the body, creating art helps to keep the mind sharp.

I am a professional artist, a qualified graphic designer, and a long-term homeschool teacher. I want to provide a friendly, supportive, and uplifting environment in which my art buddies may discover their untapped creative potential! I am a homeschooling parent of three lovely kids (and a fur mom to several persnickety critters, including an adorable rescue dog and three rescue fuzz ball cats!).

Class Attendance: If you are unable to attend and need to transfer to another class, please provide 24 hours notice. (This is a popular class, therefore I teach it several times each week. Transferring will keep you enrolled in your original class to save the slot.
